RESTON, VA, November 17, 2009 – comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released its monthly comScore qSearch analysis of the U.S. search marketplace. In October 2009, Americans conducted 14.3 billion core searches, with Google Sites accounting for 65.4 percent search market share, up from 64.9 percent in September. Microsoft Sites grabbed 9.9 percent market share, up 0.5 percentage points versus September.

As I wrote a while back, Microsoft's short term target was always Yahoo and we see it now in Yahoo's search share.
Google and Bing up, Yahoo down. I wouldn't be surprised if this continued a downward spiral for Yahoo. Have you noticed all of those Bing banner ads?
